Four to Five Business Days. With Rentmatic landlords can specify the actual day of the month that Rentmatic will debit tenant bank accounts. The collected rent will be deposited to the landlords bank account four to five business days later. Our goal is to move funds as quickly as possible and this is most often four business days, however we cannot guarantee timing due to irregularities that may occur with the ACH banking system.
The transaction cycle is required to minimize default risk while at the same time providing you with an easy to use low-cost rent collection system. And unfortunately, due to US banking laws, transactions do not move between banks during weekends or holidays. Rentmatic will notify you of NSF returns or tenant banking errors within 3 business days. The status of all Rentmatic transactions can be viewed online. |
Landlord |
Rentmatic cannot legally debit a tenant's bank account without direct authorization. To stop rent debits at any time the tenant can simply log into their Rentmatic account and submit a support ticket. Rentmatic requires three (3) business days to stop any or all rent debits. |
Tenant |
Tenants receive an e-mail reminder of the debit, including the amount and which account will be used, five days before the debit is initiated.
Tenants also receive an e-mail notification at the exact time Rentmatic initiates the debit. After the debit is initiated it will appear within the tenant's Rentmatic account, including all relevant details and a confirmation number.

Tenants using Rentmatic can rest assured that they are using the safest, most secure system available. Tenants are more secure using Rentmatic than they are dealing with landlords and property managers directly. Landlords cannot guarantee their tenants that their sensitive personal data will be stored in a state-of-the-art secured data center with encryption, redundancy, and firewall protection. Instead sensitive tenant data is usually stored in a filing cabinet in an unlocked office available to numerous individuals, or as we at Rentmatic like to say 'An Identity Theft Disaster Waiting to Happen'. Tenant privacy is backed up by Rentmatic's TRUSTe certified Privacy Policy. Rentmatic has been reviewed by TRUSTe and completed an extensive evaluation to be certified by TRUSTe. Tenants also have the option of referring to TRUSTe for privacy related issues concerning Rentmatic.
Finally, tenants can be even more comforted by Rentmatic's Tenant Rent Guarantee, which establishes clearly defined expectations for all tenants using Rentmatic. With Rentmatic there are no surprises. |

Rentmatic can automatically collect security deposits, move-in costs and any rent due when the lease is signed via ACH. When a tenant electronically signs a lease with Rentmatic, they are prompted to enter their bank account and authorize Rentmatic to debit any amounts due on behalf of the landlord.
Since leases can be electronically signed online at any time using Rentmatic, the delivery of funds collected when the lease is electronically signing may vary. If the lease is electronically signed before 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on a business day, funds will be directly deposited to the landlord five business days later. If the lease is electronically signed after 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, or on a non-business day, the funds will be directly deposited six business days later. |
